# Different Prompt Templates

Is it possible for different departments and/or languages to have different prompt templates? For example can I have a prompt template for English and have a different one (or possible translation) for French?

Yes, it’s possible to have different prompt templates based on department and language in the eGain AI console. You can create specific prompt templates for each language within a department. By default, you will see system-defined prompt templates (in active state) for every department and language, which can be made inactive as needed.
