How to export a case base for approval for eGain University training?

Hi there! I am working on my certification for the Case Based Reasoning part of the training on eGain University. I had to create 2 case bases and am asked to submit an export of them. How do I export these and in what format?

Hi Marco!:waving_hand: To export a case base and submit it for your certification in eGain University, first got to the Case Base list and Click the Import/Export Case Base button.

Select “Export Case Base” from the drop-down menu.

Then, select the case base you want to export from the Release Name field and type in a export file name.

Click the Export button at the bottom of the page. The export process starts and you should get this screen. It will export as a Zip file.

You should download the Zip file and submit this file to eGain University.

I hope this helps!

Hi Loraine,

I’m logged in to my sandbox as Administrator. I don’t see that particular button.

I’ve created an extra user with Author role and this makes the button appear. But for some reason I don’t see the Case Base I created as Administrator.

I don’t want to create the Case Base again from scratch…

What permissions do I need?

Hello Marco!

I’m happy to help you with this.

There are few things to consider in order to resolve the issue you are facing with viewing the Case Base from the author account, and viewing the Export/Import button from the administrator account.

For the Author–Have the administrator user check that the new author user was created in the same department that the case base was created.

For the Administrator– Update the the Administrator Role to include the action “Export a Case Base”

Give these a try!

OK,

This will help as well. When I do it like this, the administrator can work on the case bases as well. As I replied in an earlier mail, I already figured out how to make it work, by creating a new author user. This one has the same permissions, you talked about.

This is not clear in the e-learnings, so you might want to make an adjustment on that…
